At Liberty Station’s arts district, the NTC Foundation brought in recent Point Loma Nazarene University graduate Benjamin Cabral to build a light sculpture, “Some Faces From Around Here.”

A temporary ice skating rink has opened  outside the Dick Laub NTC Command Center, 2640 Historic Decatur Road, where Cabral’s artwork will be celebrated at 4:30 p.m. Nov. 30.

Liberty Station includes museum shops, dozens of artists’ studios and the Liberty Public Market, which will mark its first holiday season.

“It’s different from other places,” said the foundation’s president, Alan Ziter said. “It’s authentic San Diego, we have 125 acres of green space and we have 5,500 free parking spaces.”
